Here is a plein air painting done from Linn Pier looking west on Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. This is the pier where I spent many of my summers growing up where there was plenty of swimming, boating, and people to watch. Here we have a quiet lake at sunset, and some glowing patio lights illuminating a pathway into the trees. I think this painting really captures the summer nights that I knew as a kid.
